Last week during Half Term, Top Ender, Big Boy and I met up with some other bloggers for lunch and had a great time talking about different holiday destinations. It was a great lunch with great conversation and food and Big Boy and Top Ender have been talking about holidays nearly non stop since. Top Ender and Big Boy are quite insistent that they are going to go on a proper holiday with an air plane ride to get there and where it is sunny and warm, rather than the cold and wet they are getting used to at the moment! Top Ender has been telling Big Boy about the last holiday like this that she remembers going on, where we went to Italy for a few fantastic days.
Al Fresco is running a young travel writer competition for budding travel writers aged either ten and under or eleven and over. All they need to do is write up to 300 words about a holiday they have been on including where they have been, what they did and what they think was so great about it. They can include a photo or two with their article and the winning entry will win a holiday for their whole family to an Al Fresco Holiday Park of the families choice. Al Fresco Holidays are luxury mobile home holiday parcs spread across Europe and have a lot of entertainment for the family, with on-site water parks, children's entertainment clubs and spas for the parents to relax in too. Sounds great right?
This is that sort of creative writing that I set for Top Ender as Mummy homework to help her improve her writing and to practice what she has been learning at School. It's fun for Top Ender to remember things she has done in the past on her holidays and I've also found that it's a great way of keeping a journal as Top Ender writes on a lot of different subjects that I set for her. I'll be asking Tops to write something for this competition though as I quite fancy Top Ender winning a family holiday with up to £500 in travel expenses!
If you know someone who could enter this then visit the Al Fresco blog and check out all the details and the terms and conditions there.
