This October we will be off to Edinburgh for a well deserved Family Holiday. We love Edinburgh, not only because of the links to my family but also because of the fun a family can have there! This summer sees the 66th Edinburgh International Film Festival running from 20 June to 1 July 2012 and Dr Seuss' The Lorax makes it’s UK debut at the festival and we’ve got tickets for a family of four to go to see it on the 23rd June!
The film is a 3D, CGI feature version of Dr Seuss’s fable about the environmental threats posed by corporate greed. In a world where nature has been virtually abolished, a twelve-year-old boy goes on a quest for a real tree to give as a present to the girl he loves. His quest leads him first to the misanthropic Once-ler and then to the Lorax, guardian of the colourful Truffula trees. The film features an all-star voice cast including Danny DeVito as The Lorax, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White.
