If you've been to my house, then you know that there is normally something freshly baked sitting in the cake tin or if you time it right (or are really lucky) something coming out the oven as you arrive. Daddy and I love baking and are found once a week at this time of year sitting down to watch The Great British Bake Off. In fact I've decided to enter, not because I think I could win (I couldn't, I'm good but not Brilliant!) but because I have the best parting line to give to Mel and Sue as I review my time on the show.
This year however I've joined in with The Great Blogger Bake Off!
This year along with the book that accompanies the TV series there is also an app that you can download and from this app I've been given the task of baking a Sticky Orange Marmalade Cake. No problem, apart from I have to make it Show Stopping. Ah.
The cake itself is so easy to bake. I baked it this morning after my marathon 13 hour sleep and it smelt so wonderful that Daddy and Top Ender both woke up to the smell and came downstairs to find out what I was baking! I told them however that this wasn't for them and that I'm going to take it to the Nurses and Doctors who looked after Big Boy and I so wonderfully after our little night time visit earlier this week.
Now looking at this picture, you might notice something a little out of place. That letter there (It's an 'E' in case it wasn't clear!) is part of an anagram. All the entrants into the Great Blogger Bake Off are blogging and tweeting (using #gbbo) the finished pictures of their cakes and then after all ten have been published you can work out the anagram of a baking related word of phrase. I'm terrible at anagrams though, so don't ask me for help.
Oh and if you want to see who else is taking part, follow the Great British Bake Off App Twitter account, and take a look at the Great British Bake Off Website and if you download the app and make something make sure to share it with them and me; I want to see more pictures to make me drool!
I was supplied with baking ingredients, a copy of the new book and a code for the app.
