I've been a little worried about Halloween this year, for us in previous years Halloween has been about indulging a little too much in sweets that we have got through Trick or Treating, about dressing up in costumes and scaring ourselves a little bit silly by telling scary stories and watching some "safe" horror films. This year though we can't really over indulge in the sweets because of Big Boy's diabetes and so we're focusing more on the other aspects of Halloween.
This year I've made the decision that we are going to get some great Halloween costumes and so I've been doing a bit of Online Shopping to see if I can find the perfect costumes for us all, based on our interests our personalities and my warped sense of humour.
The first person I thought to get a costume for was Big Boy. Now Big Boy loves the colour Green, he loves going on Treasure Hunts and so I think that he would make a great Vampire! I think that seeing as he's no stranger to blood these days with blood tests being done several times a day a Vampire would be perfect. Plus I think he looked adorable a couple of Halloween's ago...
Daddy is an obvious choice, his favourite joke is about how he has been frightened of Clowns ever since one killed his Dad (they didn't, Grandad P is alive and well) so I'd have to make him a scary clown. Actually that would probably freak me out a little bit so I guess I would make Daddy The Headless Cyclist, a horror story I heard recently that actually had more more amused than scared and it would fit in with his cycling obsession of late!
Top Ender's costume would have to be something fashionable, something pink or purple, something sweet and innocent and possibly something to do with numbers seeing as she has a head for numbers so I think that she would be a great Zombie! Really though it's because she is getting really involved in her computer games of late and I'm pretty sure she is turning into a Zombie. I didn't edit this picture below at all...
And my costume is fairly obvious if you think about it. I mean I love Vampires, Zombies and Headless Cyclists. I venture into dark rooms when scary music is playing, I create potions and lotions over a hot stove in my kitchen and I have a wicked Cackle... that's right I'd be an 80's Fitness Video Star! Honestly can you tell me of a more suitable and scary costume for me? Could you imagine me with my own Fitness Video, tight Lycra leotard and neon leg warmers? See! I told you.
So what would your ideal costume be for Halloween based upon your interests and personality? Share with me in the comments so that I know I'm not the only one with a warped sense of humour!
