What We're Eating W/C 18th August 2018

I'm starting to think that my family and I need to start having different meals again, purposely pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone. Did I tell you that whilst Dan Jon was away with Flyfour he tried a Blue Cheese Sauce and loved it? Maybe it is me who is the one keeping us in the same meals... hmm I'll have to think about that during this week.

My thinking place on the deck in the garden

In the meantime, here is what we are eating this week!

Saturday - Chicken and Potatoes

With Top Ender having been away all of last week and coming back today (Yipee!) I'm sure that the whole family is ready for her to be back. To celebrate this, we're having her favourite meal tonight of Chicken and Parmentier Potatoes.

Sunday - Roast

Flyfour is always in charge of the Roast, I'm not sure what he does to it, but each week it tastes way better than I could ever cook it!

Monday - Beans on Toast

Top Ender was really annoyed that we had this without her last week, so we're having it again this week, with the Children indulging and having an egg on top.

Tuesday - Fish Fingers and Chips

Dan Jon and I rather enjoyed our chips last week, so we thought we'd do the same again this week, only with homemade Fish Fingers!

Wednesday - Soup and Toasties

I don't know what it is about the combination, but the children have been moaning for ages that they want this for their evening meal, so I thought tonight we'll have it!

Thursday - Sausage Pie

Top Ender and Flyfour are off camping today so Dan Jon and I will be having a Sausage Pie. It'll be a smaller pie than the one Top Ender and I polished off, just because Dan Jon and I are so much more refined...

Friday - Ready Meal

When talking with Dan Jon about some things he wanted to do with me whilst his Daddy and Sister were away, it was decided that he wanted to on one day at least be in charge of his own meal schedule by having a Ready Meal that he could cook when he wanted to.

Today is that day!

So that's what we are eating this week, just "normal" family food!
