What We Are Eating This Week W/C 4th October 2021
I have been putting meal plans on my phone each week, it's been easier for me to reach into my phone and pull out what I'm supposed to be cooking than going to a blog post every week! However, I have also realised that without the weekly prompting of writing a blog post about what my family and I are eating, I haven't been letting my thoughts out in blog format either...
So I'm back!
Monday - Pasta of some kind
I really fancy a cheat carbonara, so that's what we're going to have. I'll boil up spaghetti, add some cream cheese (dairy-free), some onion and mushrooms (Sorry Tops!) and some chopped up bacon that has been sauteed.
It can be served with a salad and for those of us who love garlic bread, some garlic bread! Dan Jon will opt to just have the pasta and the salad, but I don't mind... more Garlic bread for me!
Tuesday - Fish Cake and Crispy Potatoes with Veg
I'm really the only person who loves fish in our house, so I have to make sure that the whole family eat it every so often so that I'm getting my favourite!
Wednesday - Sausages and MashTops and I are at Rainbows and Brownies, so we will have a sandwich between sessions and then Tops will eat when we get home.
Dan Jon will have to cook for himself, so it is lucky that he is a good cook.
Thursday - Toasties and Soup
We love Toasties and soup and they are so quick and easy to make that we can easily make them before Tops needs to go out to Guides, but after I've been to the hospital.
Oh what a busy life we all lead!
Friday - Curried Chicken with Bombay Potatoes
Dan Jon has been cooking at School on a Friday and this week he is making Bombay Potatoes... so I thought I would marinade some chicken in curry paste and yoghurt, and then serve along with the potatoes and some naan.
I might add some rice, depending on the amount of food that Dan Jon makes!
