What We Are Eating W/C 17th September 2016

I just realised that it's Sunday and I haven't posted my meal plans for the week. I'm sure that you don't really care about what I'm having for lunch, but come Wednesday when I've forgotten what I've planned or more likely when one of the Children or Flyfour wants to know what I'm cooking without asking me, I'm going to be cursing not writing this post!

Saturday - Fish and Chips

On Friday/Saturday when I was trying to work out the meal plan I suggested several meals to the family that we could eat. Dan Jon Jr asked if it was possible if we could have Fish and Chips, which of course was possible as long as Flyfour made it, as his gluten free batter is a lot better than mine.

Luckily my husband is a rockstar in the field of kindness and agreed.

And we had the best Fish and Chips meal ever had by anyone ever.

Sunday - Sticky Sausages with Bacon and Apple

Top Ender wanted us to have a Sausage Roast. I didn't. Flyfour decided to suggest one of our favourite meals, the aforementioned Sticky Sausages and everyone was sort of happy.

Apart from we didn't have Roast Potatoes, or Yorkshire Puddings.

It was delicious though and Flyfour and I sat in the garden in the sunshine and talked about overdosing on apples as we also had an Apple Crumble planned for pudding!

Meatless Monday - Tomato Soup and Cheese Toasties

So, this week Vic aka Glowstars shared a video recipe on Facebook, and I use recipe in the loosest sense of the word, for Toasted Cheese Sandwiches.

The toasties contained Rainbow Cheese.

It was because of the Rainbow Cheese that it caught my attention. I want a Rainbow Cheese sandwich... so I planned them for tonight along with Home Made Roast Tomato and Garlic soup.

Tuesday - Chicken Kebabs

Flyfour and I were talking and he really fancied Chicken Kebabs, with bits of onions, peppers, mushrooms and courgettes (well I wanted the courgettes).

So that's what we're having tonight.

The Children weren't happy about it, but I'm bigger than them.

Wednesday - Creamy Salmon Macaroni

The children really enjoyed the Salmon a couple of weeks ago, so we decided to have it again today as Flyfour will be late home so we can eat without him without feeling guilty about eating a wheat pasta in front of him!d

We're going to add Cauliflower into our pasta again, as it sneaks in an extra vegetable (I always add peas to any pasta that I make at home) and because we liked the lower carb value of the meal but the filled up feeling we got!

Thursday - Burgers and Wedges

We love Burgers and Wedges, so we're having them tonight.

That's it.

Oh, and there will be some Salad and some Tomato wedges.

Oh and they are Veggie Burgers.

Friday - Casserole and Dumplings

I really fancied a Casserole and so did Flyfour, but only if there were Dumplings and mash and it was cooked in the oven, not the slow cooker and it was just scrummy.

So I'm going to attempt to make a great Casserole to please me and Flyfour, the Children will love it too... We just have to tell them that they will!
