Week Four Light your faith

This is the final week of the Light the World programme and if you've been following along with me you'll know that we've gone from a global scale, down to local, to family and this week it's personal. This week it is about lighting your own faith.

Now, I wanted to share something super here, to let you all see how important this week is, but I realised that faith is personal and me sharing something might not have the same effect on you as it would on me. Faith is something which each of us has to find on our own, sure I can help you nurture it, just like I would a plant, but it is down to each individual to grow... Does that make sense?!

This week, I'm planning on spending some time alone memorising some favourite scriptures. I'm really bad when it comes to being able to recite scriptures. Give me a song or two and I can learn them in seconds, but Scriptures take me ages to learn and I've only memorised two.
"Jesus Wept" John 11:35
"And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it." Alma 56:48
Tthat first one? I only know that because it is so short!

The family and I are going to spend time this week thinking about what we can do individually and as a family to strengthen our faith, to share it and to nurture it, because as Charles Dickens once had Ebenezer Scrooge once say

"I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year"

Everyone is invited to join us for a one hour service at their local meeting house today!

Locations and times for these services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can be found in the meeting house locator on LDS.org.

And with this being the last week, I'd like to once more invite you to take part. Take some time out this week to think about your faith, about how you can continue to help people and how you can light the world all year round with your actions. You can find out about it on Mormon.org, download a calendar to help you remember the different themes from the last three weeks (Or read my posts World, Community, Family and you're on Faith!) or check out the #LightTheWorld hashtag on different Social Media platforms to see what others were doing as they may inspire you too.
