A Thank You

There are seven staff members at Big Boy's School, that BB and I feel special gratitude to. These seven staff members are the ones who on a rotating basis help Big Boy with his Blood tests. They do it, not for glory or reward. They do it because they want BB to have a normal a School life as possible.

And BB and I wanted to say Thank You. So we made them a little box of goodies.

Treat Boxes for the Teachers

A Lip Balm, because of the soft words they say.

Some Nivea cream, because of their soft touch.

Some Soap that smells good, because

A Candle because of the light they give to us by their daily acts of kindness.

I had planned for BB to give them as he saw the staff this week, but he asked for me to help him give them out this morning.

Together we found the Staff. BB said to each one of them;

"Thank you for helping me everyday with my Blood Tests. Merry Christmas"

Every staff member was grateful, said we shouldn't have.

They were so pleased to see BB and so tender with him.

And I realised then.

They care for my son, hold his hand, listen to him and have got to know him in a way that is normally reserved for Parents, Relatives and occasionally the Babysitter.

I realised that they love Big Boy.

And for that, I love them too.
