Life hacks... - What You Want To Read

A few days months ago, I asked my friends on Facebook if they were to read a blog post written by me, what would they like it to be about? This is one of the posts, based on those suggestions.

Life Hacks

When this was suggested I was flabbergasted. I mean, life hacks? Okay, sure I know a few I've stolen them from Pinterest or Buzzfeed and sure yes, I do have a few of my own that I've developed over the years because I'm a lazy so and so and like to manage my time and activities in a more efficient way, but I'm in no way an authority on life hacks.

And then I thought about it.

What if my friend who suggested this post, didn't mean the sort of thing like;

Store a complete change of bedlinen (Pillow cases, Duvet cover, Sheets etc) inside a pillow case to ensure it all stays together and makes changing the bed easier.

What if my friend meant something more like how can I simplify my life? Something like;

Before you go to bed each night, pick what outfit, including shoes and accessories, you will wear the next day. That way there is no rush, no missing shoes and hopefully nothing that needs mending.

Thing is FlyLady and others have that sort of thing in spades and express it far more eloquently than I  ever could. And I tried once.

What if my friend thought I'd be able to teach her how to manage her life like I manage mine?

I can't do that.

Not because I don't want to, but because I don't actually manage my life.

I'm not in control.

I try my best to follow a plan that someone else has set up for me. A plan that I don't have to follow, but a plan that has been lovingly created for me to learn, do my best with and hopefully not fall on my face too often whilst following.

I am of course talking about God, and it is the only life hack that I can truly recommend.

A Dandelion Clock has no control over where it's seeds blow

Let him take control and watch life getting simpler.
